Somerset-based Prodeck-Fixing, one of the market leaders in the supply and installation of steel and metal decking across the UK and Europe, has been acquired by the LGW Group.

With headquarters in Bristol, the LGW Group includes Wright Minimix, Bristol & Bath Concrete, Chris Brown Concrete Pumps and Nationwide Concreting, and provides a true one-stop shop for the construction industry across Southern England and Wales.

“The acquisition of Prodeck means we are the only company in our region who can manufacture the concrete, deliver it, pump it on to decking we lay and finish it to the highest tolerance with our own concrete laying division” said Len Wright, Managing Director of the Group.

Having grown year on year since 1992, Prodeck provide consultations, design, supply and installations of all major steel floor decking, composite metal flooring (CMF) & non-composite metal flooring (NCMF) applications. They have worked closely with one of the top European steel manufacturers, Tata Steel / Corus Group.

With steel and metal decking capability now available from the LGW Group, construction companies can benefit from a time saving, quality service at competitive rates, which will reduce risk and offer improvements on their construction programmes.

The acquisition of Prodeck comes just five months after the purchase of Newquay-based Chris Brown Concrete Pumps by the LGW Group in May.

With a fleet of fifty-three vehicles, including one of the biggest concrete pumps in the UK, the LGW Group of companies can now offer far greater flexibility with a wide range of concrete pumping equipment including static machines, mobile line pumps and the largest full fleet of boom pumps throughout the whole of the South of England and Wales, as well as decking and finishing capabilities. With a strong board of directors, each market leaders in their own field, turnover for the LGW Group is expected to reach in excess of £41 million in 2019.
